Singers will learn to perform standards in the Jazz idiom, to phrase, and to begin improvising. Instrumentalists, under the direction of seasoned educator and guitarist/musician Vic Juris, will play in a jazz ensemble, improvise, and begin to master the art of swing.

Faculty Jam and Concert on Saturday Jazz masters will demonstrate the art of Swing, the beauty of a ballad, the rhythm of a Bossa Nova.

During the jam, students are encouraged to ask questions and to play side by side with Jazz Greats. An unforgettable experience.
